Before you start your new adventure, you must know what documents you need to prepare for your arrival in Malta. If you are from a non-EU country, you’ll need documents, but don’t worry! We are here to help and make sure that have everything ready when you land in Malta.
What documents do I need if I am not a EU citizen?
If you do not have a EU passport, the first thing you need to travel to Malta is a visa. If you’re travelling to learn English, we can help you with the process, including the visa application and the paperwork required to start your adventure.
Once you are ready to travel, make sure to have the following printed documents:
- School confirmation. The school gives you this document once you have enrolled.
- Letter of confirmation for 3 months of study. The school also gives you this document.
- Medical insurance for the duration of the course including COVID-related illness coverage.
- Return flight. You only need to submit the reservation, and we suggest you purchase a flexible return ticket. If you buy a two-way ticket, it cannot exceed 90 days.
- Financial solvency for the first 3 months. You must prove that you have €19 per day if you have contracted accommodation or €25 if you don’t.

What documents do I need if I am a EU citizen?
If you are Spanish or have a European Union country passport, you don’t need special documentation. You can enter Malta without a visa with your ID card or passport. With your European Health Insurance Card, you will have access to health care, although we recommend that you take out medical insurance, as you never know what can happen!
